Through photography, video, performance, and installation, Ehlers often favors a collaborative approach to intertwine memory and corporeality.By mobilizing both humans and non-humans, she investigates the various representations of Blackness, interacting with the architectural spaces she occupies in situ. Her work, where the notion of time plays a central role, represents a quest for healing and pays tribute to the legacies of the African diaspora, thus offering a reflection on selfhood and resilience.
