Nikoline Liv Andersen

January 23 – March 15 2015

For the first time in Paris, Nikoline Liv Andersen, one of Denmark's most fascinating young talents, exhibits her extravagant universe of art, fashion and craft.

Nikoline Liv Andersen works with unconventional materials to which she gives new life and new expressions. Industrial metal rivets will look like soft feathers, straws cut into different lengths will have an organic expression, and her patient work of grinding, cutting and dressing cotton with a leaf transforms a banal cotton into fur. What characterizes Nikoline Liv Andersen's works are the many layers of materials and shaping operations that offer a surprising perception of surface and texture.

From January 24 to March 15, 2015 the Maison du Danemark on the Champs-Elysées will host the work of Nikoline Liv Andersen: an experimentation where her art is revealed in theatrical, sculptural works with a strong influence of haute couture know-how.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a sound installation by Kasper Winding.
